"King Zoo" By Fetty Wap

Fetty Wap made a core memory with his song "Trap Queen" and has finally released an album almost two years after being sent to prison for six years on account of selling drugs. I'm glad to see Fetty still make music in jail, but today we are going to listen to his new album, "King Zoo." So let's get into it.

  1. "Interlude"

  2. "Northern Lights" 6/10

  3. "Spin the Block" 7.5/10 Anthem Type Beat

  4. "Outside" Guitar 6/10 Trap Beat

  5. "Undeniable" 7/10

  6. "Jet Li" 6/10

  7. "Urus" 6/10

  8. "Urus Pt 2" is Literally the same song

  9. "Slide" 6/10

  10. "SuperHuman" 7/10 80's keys/synths

  11. "1738" 8.5/10 Catchy

  12. "Thinkin' about you" 6.5/10

  13. "Celebration" Interesting melody/lyrics 7/10

  14. "King is on His Way" 7/10

  15. "Departure" Different Sound/Boom Bap. 6/10

  16. "Sweet Yamz" 80's RnB sound. 6/10

  17. "Private Party"

Overall Rating: 6.5/10

All these songs sound so similar having a basic melodic rap beat. It isn't too unique. However, there are some tracks that did stand out such as "1738" ft Coi Leray. That's the most popular track besides "Sweet Yamz." Other than that most tracks were super short and really had simple writing and production. Some tracks explore some diversity with an 80's Rnb and trap beat. Like "Sweet Yamz" and "SuperHuman." There isn't anything bad about the album, it's just really simple. Fetty Wap has lots of potential, but rap and music as a whole have changed since 2015-2018. He still has fans, so hopefully they are happy with this release, but overall it's just not really hitting for me. I can't remember any specific track besides, "1738" because they sound so soundcloudish, if that makes any sense. In conclusion, I wish Fetty the best because he really is talented, he just has to work hard try new sounds, and discover who he wants to be as an artist.
