"Pink Friday 2" focuses on hip-hop and R&B melodies and has some pop elements. It also offers a stack feature list from Billie Eilish to Drake and has great songs. It's solid and offers an aggressive but soft/loving kind of Nicki on many tracks. You get mixed emotions from this album. The first track made me tear up, then transitioned to some dark melodic trap beats, which were decent at best. Luckily they were concise tracks. "Needle" really gives me "One Dance" vibes, which I like and that's why it's my favorite. The tropical vibes are fun and bouncy, and it's just a fun song overall. J. Cole didn't disappoint and neither did Nicki on "Let Me Calm Down." It was a pretty chill song, which I enjoyed. My least favorite tracks are "Pink Birthday" and "Cowgirl." They are not bad songs, and the choruses are amazing along with the beat, but the verses are something I didn't really vibe to. Most songs have lyrics that are sexual, but these were the ones that stood out to me. The one track I just didn't like at all is "Everybody" with Lil Uzi Vert. It was unique how they sampled "Move Your Feet" but overall it felt so random and out of place. I couldn't understand what Lil Uzi Vert said at all. Other than that, there's not much I can say. The album is an 8.3/10 for me.
